Field Position Descriptions
Listed below are several job descriptions for positions typically available at TotalFloral:

Corporate Business Development Manager (CBDM)
This is TotalFloral's top field position and is based at a client's location. The CBDM position requires an experienced individual to lead and manage the floral program from within our Client's location. This is an inside Customer Service / Sales / Management position. In this highly visible role, the CBDM serves as a conduit between the client and all TotalFloral personnel both in the field and in the home office. The growth of the floral business within our client's operation will be a direct result of the good work done by this individual and the Team he / she has assembled.

Responsibilities:
Conduct quarterly business performance reviews.
Meet sales and profit objectives of the client.
Manage the operation as if you own this business.
Establish relationships and direct communications with all levels within both the client organization and TotalFloral.
Develop and support the TotalFloral ideals, values, and culture within all Associates and contacts within the client organization.
Conduct operations and make decisions in an ethical and confidential manner.
Install systems and procedures designed to maximize floral sales and efficiency.


Requirements:
A college degree or equivalent.
At least 3 - 5 years of management / supervisory experience highly desirable.
Successful candidates will possess a proven track record in sales and professional relationship building.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint and other productivity tools.
Solid organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to provide exemplary customer service.


Divisional Business Development Manager (BDM)
This position is responsible for driving floral sales and profits at a specific client distribution center. The Floral BDM would support both the local Product Supply Center and the Headquarters. BDM's make retail sales calls at least 3 - 4 days per week. Sales presentations, new product introductions, floral operations training sessions, and presence at regional ad meetings are a major part of the job. As territory sales grow, the Floral BDM will recruit, hire, and manage a staff of Floral Business Counselors who, under the director of the BDM will make customer service calls on clients participating in the floral program. Additional duties include report generation, data analysis and review, and the ability to "reach - up" into the client's organization to garner support for floral program initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Make sales calls on independent retailers in your territory with the purpose of communicating the value proposition of the floral category.
Manage all distribution center activities related to the floral category.
Work in tandem with client resources to prioritize activities.
Report Sales results.
Make oral and written presentations both to the client and to prospective customers.
Recruit, hire, and manage a staff of Floral Business Counselors to the benefit of the client and TotalFloral.
Support store openings and remodels with department set-up


Requirements:
Strong sales skills with demonstrated success in an "on-the-road" sales position
Ability to "reach - up" into an organization to garner support.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A highly developed customer service mentality with excellent follow-up skills with an attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Computer skills ( Windows OS and Office suite, email, internet etc. )


Floral Business Counselor ( FBC )
This is a field position responsible for driving floral sales and profits within a very specific group of retail outlets. The FBC supports the retailers in their area by being their key resource for all issues related to the floral category.
Activities include daily visitation of retail outlets with the purpose of educating store personnel on effective floral retailing techniques. The FBC will counsel store personnel on proper ordering, merchandising, and maintenance of floral products, as well as effective shop operations. The growth of the category within the specific FBC territory will be a direct reflection of the effectiveness of the FBC. The FBC reports directly to the CBDM / BDM depending on the client structure and has "dotted line" responsibility to the store managers of the outlets in their territory.


Responsibilities:
Make customer service / sales calls on retail outlets within your territory. Communicate the floral program initiatives to store personnel.
Educate, motivate, facilitate, and coordinate all floral activities within the territory.
Work with client personnel to grow floral sales in the territory.
Make oral and written presentations concerning your progress.
Support store openings and remodels with department set-up


Requirements:
Strong sales skills, with a willingness to be "on-the-road" on a daily basis.
The ability to quickly prioritize activities, work with little direct supervision, and excel in an unstructured environment.
Ability to "reach - up" into an organization to garner support.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A highly developed customer service mentality with excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
